We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Counting House Pub in London. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 very boisterous boys, and from start to finish nothing was too much trouble. Anouska and Ellie (hope I’ve got her name right!) were incredible—so patient, welcoming, and attentive despite how lively our group was. They made us feel genuinely looked after and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy. The manager was just as accommodating, which really added to the whole experience. Amazing service, lovely atmosphere, and a team that truly knows how to look after their guests. Can’t recommend them enough—we’ll definitely be back!

In the heart of the City a very friendly pub. A very well preserved 19th century interior of a former bank! Good selection of beers and ales and...pies. But also other dishes incl. small plates. Comfortable seating at tables. Prompt service.

The Counting House were brilliant when it came to organising our staff social event. From the moment I reached out, the communication was clear, prompt, and helpful. I want to thank Tharushi in particular for helping organise our event - she was fantastic and provided lots of guidance to ease the planning (despite there being numerous changes to our booking). The event itself was very smooth, and the venue is lovely - we booked the Ledger Room and this was great for our party size (approx 30 people). The food was also great, and the atmosphere was surprisingly good for a Tuesday in early January. Overall a great experience with The Counting House, and I would definitely recommend this venue for any kind of event.

We weren't aware this was a hotel as well as a pub but we went in on the of chance we could get breakfast here... which they can do and it's available to non residents. We had the full English breakfast and the avocado on toast. The full English had high quality items and was delicious. The avocado was also very tasty with an addition of a pesto dressing which was well received too. Great location on an old historic bank and helpful friendly staff. Highly recommended for breakfast!

Fabulous end to a great mystery tour of the financial district. Yes the beer is quite expensive, but you are in the financial district so don't expect a cheap beer! The pub has an amazing history all the way back to Roman roots (and foundations!) to more recently being a bank. Wonderful charm to the place and nice friendly staff.

The Counting House is a fantastic spot in the heart of the City. The historic former banking hall is truly impressive, with a striking interior and a unique central bar that gives the place real character. Food is classic British pub fare done well — hearty, well presented, and satisfying (we had fish and chips, the fish pie, etc.)— and the drinks selection is excellent. Service was friendly, efficient, and welcoming despite how busy it can get. A great choice for lunch, after-work drinks, or entertaining visitors who want a quintessential London pub experience.

The staff where brilliant, very helpful and friendly. The room was stylish and very clean. All of the in-room extras (soaps, coffee, drinks) where of high quality and all included. The breakfast was good also with quick and friendly service. Dispite our room being on a very busy street and with the pub downstairs we could hear little to none outside noise. Definitely would stay agian.
